The Conglomerate Cabernet Sauvignon is a unique and historical offering from the Snipes Mountain AVA. This signature wine for our Geologist Bordeaux blend is sourced 100% from the prestigious Upland Vineyard, from vines originally planted in 1989. The ancient Columbia River conglomerate deposits underlying this vineyard impart a distinctive mineral-driven aroma and deep flavor profile that truly sets this wine apart.
Our winemaking process preserves this unique terroir: grapes were harvested at 24 Brix and fermented in small open-top fermenters for 10 days. The wine was then meticulously aged in French oak for 27 months prior to bottling. The result is an exceptional, full-bodied red that has been recognized as a Double Gold Award Winner at the Seattle Wine Festival.
As an exclusive release in our collection, production was strictly limited to only 100 cases. This Snipes Mountain Cabernet is a definitive expression of one of Washington’s most unique geological sites.
