The 2023 Dr. Wolfe’s Family Red is the latest release of our signature blend. This vintage is unique, marking only the second time Syrah has been added to the core trio of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Lemberger to enhance the wine's aromatic complexity.
Petite Sirah (47%) & Zinfandel (28%): Sourced from the prestigious Zephyr Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA.
Lemberger (14%): From Crawford Vineyard in the Yakima Valley.
Syrah (11%): Sourced from select sites in the Horse Heaven Hills.
Following a warm 2023 growing season, grapes were harvested in September and fermented in small open-top fermenters. To develop its signature structure, the wine was aged in a mix of French and American oak for 25 months before its February 2026 release.
Full-bodied and spicy, this blend offers a rich mid-palate of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. It pairs exceptionally well with hearty dishes like roasted lamb, smoked brisket, or aged cheeses.
