The JTW’s Blend is Thurston Wolfe’s proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Zinfandel (50%), creating a rare wine with dark fruit aromas (cherry, cassis, strawberry and plum) and oak spice (vanilla and allspice) and a rich, full-bodied finish.
Source of the Cabernet and Zinfandel was the Horse Heaven Hills. This vintage was average in heat units, but a mild fall created conditions ideal for ripening and producing red wines with soft tannins and excellent color. Blended and aged 15 months in a mixture of French and American oak. Enjoy with prime rib, leg of lamb and hickory smoked brisket.
