This Vintage of MALBEC is the 14th varietal Malbec produced at Thurston Wolfe from Mckinley Springs Vineyard. The vineyard is located 30 miles southwest of Prosser in the heart of the Horse Heaven Hills. Fruit was harvested in mid-September at 24 Brix and fermented nine days before light pressing. Wine was aged 20 months in a mixture of French and American oak.
The wine has deep garnet color, aromas of blueberry, plum and oak spice, and rich mouth feel with aging potential of 10 plus years. Only 96 cases produced and released August 2023. Alcohol 14.5%.
