Petite Sirah

The 2022 Petite Sirah is Thurston Wolfe’s 20th release. A rare variety for Washington State, this vintage followed a similar patter of recent vintages in the Horse Heaven Hills. The warm spring and summer produced a balanced wine with dark red color bright fruit aromas. The Petite Sirah has rich blueberry, chocolate, mineral cedar, tea leaf and pepper. Plenty of fruit yet balanced with acid and a subtle backbone of chewy tannins.

From our Zephyr Ridge Estate Vineyard, harvested from the most southern facing slope. This grape benefits from the strong winds off the Columbia River that compliments the Loomis soils that stress, invigorate and push the Petite Sirah to its limit making a strong single varietal. A wine perfect for cellar aging!
