Thurston Wolfe’s 2022 SYRAH is our second vintage of this variety since 2011. It is 100% Syrah produced from the Dead Canyon Vineyard in the Alderdale area of the Horse Heaven Hills. Harvested in late September at 24.6 Brix, it was fermented on skins for 10 days before pressing and aged 21 months in new and seasoned American Oak barrels before bottling.
Inky dark color, blueberry, anise and floral aromas complemented by oak spice with soft, rich tannins make this wine enjoyable now through 2031. Suggested food pairings include cheeses, broiled lamb, Sisters’ Ham, spiced sausages and pastas with rich sauces. 98 cases produced and released December 2023. Only available at the winery and select retail accounts. Alcohol 14.5%.
