The JTW Port is a storied dessert wine named in honor of our son, Joshua Thurston Wolfe, and was first produced in 1990.
The 2019 vintage is a curated blend of 25% Touriga Nacional, 37.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 37.5% Petite Sirah, all sustainably grown in the Columbia Valley of Washington State. Our traditional winemaking process includes stopping fermentation with high-proof grape brandy and a seven-day maceration period—a technique that mirrors the classic "foot treading" used in Portugal to maximize color and tannin extraction.
Aged for 17 months in neutral oak, this Gold Medal (92 Points) winner is a definitive expression of American Port-style wine. With a strictly limited production of just 184 cases, it is a true collector's item for those who appreciate depth, history, and heart.
